Permaculture Field Trip 6th-12th Grade

Bending Oak Education Center Field Trip hopes to inspire future leaders to find innovative solutions for a healthier and greener planet by exploring what is possible through permaculture. 

Audience: 6th-12th grade

Duration: 4.5 hours

Level: Intro Level

Students will engage in interactive, STEM-aligned activities covering essential permaculture concepts: 

  • ☀️ Solar Energy – Mapping sunlight for efficient plant growth & renewable energy 
  • 💧 Water Catchment – Exploring ecosystems & sustainable water use 
  • 🌱 Soil Health – Understanding microbes & regenerative agriculture 
  • 🌬️ Windbreaks – Designing natural barriers for environmental resilience’s
As we observe and integrate how the 12 Permaculture Principles is applied, your child or student will gain new experiences and knowledge that will help them develop soft skills, team building, problem solving, data analysis, science observation, and agricultural, all while utilizing permaculture principles as the foundation of their learning experiences.Please email to schedule for a field trip.
